G'day from Sydney!

Hey everyone! I'm excited to be a part of this new community! After listening to the Production Channel podcast for a number of years, it's great to see this community coming together!

I've been running a production company in Sydney, Australia for 8 years, making corporate video content and producing events, conferences and livestreams, both physical and virtual.

2 Highlights from last year:

A 2 day hybrid training event. 95 guests in room, 270 online. We setup a control room in a separate building linked with fibre and ran the whole production (except 1 camera operator and FOH audio tech) from the control room.

The main presenter on stage in room, and during the breaks in room, the live stream cut to 2 hosts in the studio just next to our control room. We ran the whole event and co-ordinated the handovers from studio to the presenter on stage as well as live crosses from the studio hosts into the room.

The second event is a 2 day virtual conference. We had a news anchor as our MC in a studio in Melbourne with teleprompter and IFB. We got a teleprompter feed from the studio so we could follow their script. All switching and video via zoom and vMix remotely hosted. I show called and everyone followed along on shoflo.

(what you don't see in that picture is the Studio in Melbourne with the MC, the remote speaker prep technician, technical director switching from home).

I'm looking forward to learning from more experienced producers and show callers.
